The Nazarene youth of Paraguay participated in a nationwide camp from 28-30 January with “Prevail” as its theme. Over 100 youth from the three districts (South, Central, and North) made their way to the camp in Encarnación, Paraguay.
The Paraguay South District served over 200 families through a Manos de Amor (Hands of Love) event in the town of Isla Ro’y Villalbin on 21 August. Churches from Encarnación, Misiones, and Ñeembucú went out into the community to serve the people and teach the gospel.
Cristo Rey, a soccer school in the Central District of Paraguay, is educating athletes in a holistic manner. Recently, the school produced its first professional player.
When the COVID-19 pandemic made working and meeting in person impossible for pastors in the South Cone Field, Field Strategy Coordinator Alessandro Polonio and his wife, Christiane, had to get creative.
Churches on the Paraguay Central District partnered to create five cafeterias to provide hot meals for families affected by joblessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cafeterias provide more than 1,300 plates of food each week.
Recently 190 children were ministered to in the cities of San Ignacio Misiones, Barrio San Pedro, and the areas of San Pablo, San Javier, San Antonio, and the neighboring city of Santa Rosa, through the “Happy Box.”
The Church of the Nazarene in Caacupemi, Paraguay, is beginning to have in-person services again, and the church hosted a Maximum Missions event to announce the reopening.
