For six years, Pierre Ernst Jacques’ ordination was put on hold due to civil unrest in his home country of Haiti. However, through an unusual set of circumstances — some tragic — Jacques found himself in the United States for a special remote ordination during this year’s Eastern Kentucky District Assembly.

Over 30 people gathered for the Wesleyan Songwriters Summit at College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The participants engaged in songwriting sessions and workshops over the three days.

Roughly 60 people from around the United States and Canada traveled to Lenexa over 10 days to participate in an extensive revamp of the Modular Course of Study, a non-degree video-based program for the USA/Canada Region.

Allen Wilson, 94, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away 1 August 2024. He was a missionary who served for 37 years across the Mesoamerica and South America regions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, and as the district superintendent of Costa Rica.

Edward “Eddie” Estep has been appointed as superintendent for the South-Central Ohio District. The appointment was made by jurisdictional General Superintendent Fili Chambo, in consultation with the South-Central Ohio District Advisory Committee, and the board of General Superintendents.

Cortez Church of the Nazarene in Colorado hosts and organizes the community’s lone support group for mothers and children. Thanks to the group, several young families have joined the church.

Young girls around the world are receiving dresses and the message that God loves them, thanks to Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene’s “Dress a Girl” sewing group. What started in 2012 as a small group of women has grown to 100 people.

An Ohio church revitalized a local baseball diamond as an act of love toward its community. The revitalization of this community landmark has made an impact on the city of Mount Vernon.
