
Missions team helps share gospel with communities in Spain

In July, a team from Waverly Church of the Nazarene from Tennessee traveled to Spain to partner with several Nazarene churches on a missions trip.

A group of leaders from the Eurasia and USA/Canada regions traveled throughout the Western Mediterranean Field from 4-13 November, visiting local churches in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal to learn about the contexts and ministries of the congregations. One of the main themes was a reminder that the Nazarene family is global.

Diego Lopez was appointed field strategy coordinator for the Western Mediterranean Field on Wednesday, 9 November 2022. He also serves as the district superintendent in Spain. The appointment will be effective 1 January 2023.

La Puerta Iglesia del Nazareno in Seville, Spain, has been gathering people online twice a day for devotions, worship, prayer, and short sermons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 100 people in Germany, Spain, Lebanon, and the United States walked, ran, or jogged (and one person cycled) in an annual jog-a-thon that has so far raised more than 8,000 euro for Nazarene Evangelical School in Beirut, Lebanon.
