The Church of the Nazarene in the Philippines celebrated its 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary with a worship celebration attended by over 3,000 Nazarenes.

The Philippines-Micronesia Field held its first Women Clergy Conference 7-9 April 2022. Over 138 women clergy and pastors’ wives from four districts participated in the event.

C. Lee Eby, 85, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away 10 March 2022. He was a retired missionary and minister, pioneering the Church of the Nazarene’s work in Papua New Guinea.

In February 2022, the first field Work & Witness team from the Philippines journeyed to serve churches on the Negros District that had been affected by Typhoon Odette. The group consisted of 10 passionate young people from 6 districts.

Two months have passed since Typhoon Odette devastated the Central Visayas region. Throughout this time, the local churches in the affected areas have continued to engage in different programs to serve the various urgent needs of the people.

Nazarene Missions International Asia-Pacific held its “Celebrate Love for Missions“ online event on 12 February 2022. The conference was attended by over 300 participants from more than 15 countries.

The pandemic has brought many challenges and uncertainties to all people around the world. Churches in the Philippines took the pandemic as an opportunity to plant new churches and expand the work of the Lord in their areas.

Recovery efforts continue in Tonga after an undersea volcano eruption and subsequent tsunami caused chaos for the island nation on 15 January.

The Philippines-Micronesia Field discipleship team is thrilled to share its first children’s discipleship material, “The GIFT: Grace is Free and Timeless.” This resource is inspired by A Journey of Grace, the denomination’s discipleship initiative.
