When Pastor Amy Schultz became involved in a local jail ministry in Council, Idaho, she met an inmate who was clearly called to ministry herself. Despite obstacles, Schultz utilized The Discipleship Place to help Jane* fulfill God’s calling on her life.
Three women seeking to dive deeper into their faith and Nazarene theology have found life through the Church of the Nazarene’s Discipleship Place lay ministry courses.
The Discipleship Place has released a video course called “Spark: Being and Making Disciples in Small Groups,” focused on giving leaders the tools to help foster discipleship culture within their churches.
Two members of Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, have found validation in their ministry after taking courses that work towards receiving the Lay Minister’s License through The Discipleship Place.
When a pastor mentioned The Discipleship Place to Kim Jackson, the idea of taking courses did not appeal to her. Seven years later, she’s completed every course and credits the program for providing her “daily armor.”
