More than 800 young people from the El Alto Noroeste District in Bolivia gathered during the annual Carnaval, similar to Mardi Gras traditions in America, held 18-21 February.

More than 1,000 women attended the conference “His grace in me.” The keynote speaker was Patricia Donnelly, from Arizona, USA. The meetings took place in various churches around the country of Ecuador.

The Mission School for Adolescents (EMA) welcomed 112 adolescents from the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and Espírito Santo in January. EMA exists to prepare Christian adolescents to fulfill the Great Commission.

Six men undergoing addiction treatment were baptized at a rehab center in Quito, Ecuador. Rodrigo Olmedo, who led the ceremony, is a Nazarene pastor and a former addict.

To uplift and demonstrate God’s love to the locals in the neighborhood, the teams joined together to celebrate a workday. For the event, attendees raised money on their own.

In late November, a Maximum Mission trip was organized by the Nazarene Missions International of the Venezuela Primero District, with the support of the Tree of Life Church of the Nazarene in Valencia, Venezuela. They helped clean up the church, evangelized in the community, distributed food, and led a worship service.

The Church of the Nazarene in Venezuela celebrated 40 years of ministry in October. Nazarenes from different parts of the country met, forming a representation of the five districts in the nation to celebrate its progress.
