On 10 November 2025, the Fiji District elected Sanaila Roqara as its superintendent.

“I’m thankful to God for the opportunity and humbled to serve as district superintendent of the Fiji District,” Roqara said.

Rogara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from South Pacific Bible College. In September 2003, he was assigned to oversee a new church planting in Nadi, which later became known as Community of Grace Church.

Sanaila’s wife, Leilani Politini Roqara, is the chancellor of the South Pacific Nazarene Theological College (SPNTC). They met at South Pacific Bible College and were married in 2006. Since then, they have been serving the Church of the Nazarene for two decades. Their support and prayers for each other have borne fruit not only in the Fiji District but also in the South Pacific Field and the Asia-Pacific Region.

General Superintendent David Busic was blessed to have ordained this delightful couple. Busic adored them for their service with the heart of Jesus, and he continued to be amazed at the quality of leaders the Lord is raising around the world.

Asia-Pacific Regional Director Kafoa Muaror was present to witness the blessing and anointing of Sanaila. He follows Daniel Latu, who is now serving as a missionary in the Pioneer District of Tonga.

“We are forever thankful to our parents and siblings for their love and support,” Sanaila said. “We are thankful also to our district superintendents, under whom and with whom we have served, for their leadership and mentoring. Our gratitude also to pastors and the family of pastors, in years past and today, here in Fiji. We are thankful to God also for our Fiji District and Community of Grace family, in entrusting us with this role to serve as leaders.”
