The following is a report from the mission field about a recent JESUS Film showing in Senegal, and the testimony of a young man named Gabriel.

Gabriel* is a young student that was raised in a family who practiced a different religion. His parents made sacrifices, and the entire family was initiated into these practices. Gabriel always felt hesitant to join in these practices. He always felt unsettled in his spirit.

“I never wanted to participate [in these things],” Gabriel said. “I am looking for peace and salvation for my soul.”

One Saturday in their village, some people attended a screening of the JESUS Film. Gabriel did not even get to see the film from the beginning, but something in his body and spirit felt like a freshness.

“I felt something…that reached my inner being,” Gabriel said. “I began to feel joy and peace.”

Gabriel began to cry until one of the volunteers approached him and asked if he would like to pray for salvation. Gabriel not only prayed to receive Jesus as his saviour, but he also prayed for his family to know Christ.

Please pray for Gabriel as he is new in the faith, and pray for his family to also come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
