Women’s Day weekend in South Africa has become the perfect time for the Africa South Field to hold its Women’s Extravaganza. From 7–9 August, more than 3,700 people, mostly women, from six countries gathered at the Heartfelt Arena outside Pretoria, South Africa, for the Women’s Extravaganza 2026, praising the Lord and be edified under the theme, “I shall not be moved!”
Representing the RSA Eastern District, special speaker KG Ndlovu, wife of the Solomon Ndlovu, Africa South Field strategy coordinator (FSC), shared powerful messages each evening, encouraging participants to stand firm, remain rooted in Christ and develop resilience in these challenging times.
The weekend highlights included the choir sections, where each of the 21 districts present dressed in corresponding outfits and sang a song they had prepared during the year. Another highlight was the offering competition by the districts to raise money for the following year’s conference and for the Nazarene universities and Bible colleges on the Africa South Field and in Mozambique.
Many women renewed friendships made in previous years and danced alongside one another, praising the Lord, smiling and bonding over shared experiences. An additional highlight was seeing women from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa come together throughout the weekend, bonded by their love for Christ.
Several Nazarene leaders and ministry representatives encouraged the event.
Greetings were also sent by Sam Barber, global NDI coordinator; Thais Sitoe, Africa Region NDI coordinator; and Ronald Miller, Africa South Field NDI coordinator.
Each year, a team of 15 council members led by Irene Mpangana work tirelessly to organise every aspect of this event, with all its moving parts. The Africa South Field is grateful for the hard work this special group of ladies puts into making this large event possible.
