More than 350 women gathered in Arequipa, Peru, for the National Congress of the Ministry to Women in Peru, held 5-8 February 2026. Delegations representing each Church of the Nazarene district in Peru gathered with a spirit of unity and anticipation under the theme, “Women who inspire, Women who transform.”

The purpose of the congress was to strengthen the participants’ spiritual lives and motivate them to continue exercising leadership that impacts their homes, churches, and communities. The event included times of worship, teaching, and fellowship, reaffirming women’s calling to inspire and transform through an active and committed faith.

Special guests Silvia Rodrigues, Gladis Bereche, Cristiane Polonio, Leda F. de Romero, and Marleni Palma led plenary sessions throughout the program. Each speaker focused on messages of edification, challenge, and affirmation of God’s purpose for women.

Patricia Donelly, Gaudy Vásquez Aguilar, Attorney Nancy Soto, and Obstetrician Lizbeth Pasache conducted workshops on a variety of topics. These sessions became spaces for the women to connect, grow, and gain practical guidance.

The program also included a panel discussion to answer attendees’ questions, creating an engaging dialogue. On Saturday, a tour of the main tourist attractions of Arequipa and its surroundings took place, providing a special opportunity to strengthen community bonds, explore the region, and share in the rich local culture and cuisine.

The congress concluded on Sunday, the 8th, with a final plenary session and a time of praise and Communion. The leadership of the Women’s Ministry in Peru, headed by Pastor Bety Espinoza, was key to the coordination and success of this national gathering.

Many women returned to their districts with a reaffirmed vision to continue growing, serving, and bringing hope, knowing that God continues to raise up women who inspire and women who transform.
