Forty-five Pastors’ Kids from the Metro Manila District gathered for a meaningful and joy-filled retreat themed “Arise,” 11–12 June 2026, at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary.

The two-day retreat was a special time of encouragement, fellowship, healing, and renewed purpose for the children of pastors and ministry leaders. The worship service, messages, group sharing, and fun activities reminded the PKs that they are not alone and God has a special calling and purpose for their lives.

The retreat gave the participants a safe space to share their experiences, including the joys, pressures, struggles, and expectations that often come with growing up in a ministry family. The speakers encouraged them to recognize their identity in Christ and challenged them to rise above challenges, discouragement, and fear.

The theme “Arise” served as a powerful reminder that PKs are called to stand strong and shine for Christ in their homes, churches, schools, and communities.

Aside from the inspirational sessions, the retreat was filled with laughter and memorable moments through activities such as the Amazing Race, game night, group games, and creative fellowship. Younger children enjoyed fun indoor activities, including games and crafts, while the teens formed friendships through team challenges and meaningful conversations.

One of the highlights of the retreat was the formation of accountability groups, where participants were assigned a “Big Brother” or “Big Sister”—older PKs who will continue to guide, encourage, and walk with them even after the retreat. This helped create a deeper sense of family, support, and spiritual companionship among the PKs.

The event was truly a blessing not only through its activities and messages, but by creating a place where the youngsters felt heard, understood, loved, and encouraged. Many left with new friendships, renewed confidence, and a fresh reminder to arise with faith, courage, and hope.
