The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 19-23 January 2026.

Linda Aaserud, 89, of Lewiston, New York, passed away 24 December 2025. She was a minister who served in New York, Virginia, and Illinois. She was the widow of David Aaserud, a retired minister who served in Illinois, New York, Maine, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. David passed away in 2017.

Meredith Abla, 94, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away 3 January 2026. She was the widow of James Abla, a retired minister who served in Texas, Missouri, Idaho, and California. James passed away in 1990.

Louise Alderson, 86, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away 24 December 2025. She was the wife of Richard Alderson, a retired minister and educator who served in Oklahoma, Kansas, and California.

Joan Bane, 90, of North Royalton, Ohio, passed away 30 December 2025. She was the widow of Boyd Bane, a retired minister who served in Ohio. Boyd passed away in 2012.

Kevin Barrett, 60, of Albion, Michigan, passed away 6 January 2026. He was the pastor of Albion Church of the Nazarene. He previously served as a minister in Colorado, Maine, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Rena Barrett.

Bob Black, 95, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away 14 December 2025. He was a retired laymissionary. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Black.

James Cottle, 92, of Benton, Illinois, passed away 23 December 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Cottle, who passed away in 2020.

John Cramer Sr., 91, of Nedrow, New York, passed away 21 December 2025. He was a retired minister who served in New York, Massachusetts, and Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Cramer, who passed away in 2022.

Teodosio Flores, 85, of Pearland, Texas, passed away 27 December 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Texas. He is survived by his wife, Frances Flores.

Anna Hissom, 85, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away 8 January 2026. She was the widow of Byron Hissom Sr., a retired minister who served in West Virginia. Byron passed away in 2023.

Edward Koteskey, 72, of Citrus Springs, Florida, passed away 17 December 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Michigan, North Carolina, and Montana. He is survived by his wife, Debra Koteskey.

James Lee, 92, of Brea, Califorina, passed away 1 January 2026. He was a retired minister who served in New York and South Korea. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eun Sook Lee, who passed away in 2022.

Roberta Meiner, 81, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away 12 January 2026. She was a retired minister who served in Indiana and Michigan. She is survived by her husband, Donald Meiner, a minister who served in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan.

Patricia Merrill, 81, of Pittston, Maine, passed away 14 December 2025. She was the wife of Roger Merrill, a retired minister who served in Maine.

James Moore, 84, of Ridgefield, Washington, passed away 31 December 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Missouri and Oklahoma

Jean Noel, 87, of Milford, Ohio, passed away 25 December 2025. She was the wife of Dale Noel, a retired minister who served in Ohio.

Mary Simon, 80, of Manteno, Illinois, passed away 8 January 2026. She was the wife of Kieth Simon, a minister who served in Michigan.

Sara Willard, 79, of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away 17 December 2025. She was a missionary who served in Africa from 1977-1991. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Willard, with whom she served. Ronald served as a minister in Ohio, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, as well as a missionary in Africa.
