The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 7-11 September 2026.
Aileen Lilienthal, 96, of Brandon, Florida, passed away 1 September 2026. She was the widow of Alfred Lilienthal, a retired minsiter who served in Ohio, and Florida. He also served as an educator in Illinois and Florida. Alfred passed away in 2022
David Nash, 72, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 4 September 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Illinois, Colorado, and Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Connie Nash.
Sandy Nesseth, 82, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away 9 September 2026. She was the widow of Herbert Nesseth, a retired minister who served in Michigan and Florida. Herbert passed away in 1998.
Ark Noel Jr, 92, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away 4 September 2026. He was a retired district superintendent who led the Southeast Oklahoma District from 1987-2004. He was a minister who served in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, and Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Noel, who passed away in March, 2025.
Roberta Smith, 91, of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away 1 September 2026. She was the widow of James Smith, a retired minister who served in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. James passed away in 2006.
Carrie Spencer, 98, of Roncerverte, West Virginia, passed away 8 September 2026. She was the widow of Clinton Spencer Jr., a retired minister who served in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Alberta Starnes, 95, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away 6 September 2026. She was the wife of Sam Starnes, a retired minister who served in Wisconsin, illinois, Ohio, and Oklahoma.
Jean Walworth, 82, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away 22 August 2026. She was the widow of Gerald Walworth, a retired minister who served in Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana. Gerald passed away in 2012.
