For the first time in six years, the Caribbean Youth Camp and Congress (CARYCAC) returned from a week of gathering that united delegates, strengthened participants’ faith, and left a lasting impact on the next generation.

From August 25 to September 2, 2025, more than 100 participants and facilitators gathered at the St. Lucia Sports Academy in the Windward Islands District. A spirit of restoration, fellowship, and the presence of God together defined the week’s events.

Delegates came from eleven Caribbean nations—Belize, Dominica, Suriname, Martinique, Guyana, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and St. Lucia—along with representation from the USA/Canada Region.

For the first time, Belize, Suriname, and Dominica joined the event—an evidence of the growing reach of CARYCAC across the region.

The theme “restored” guided the program, with a daily focus on a particular spiritual discipline. Messages were shared under the dynamic “Legends and Legacies,” with seasoned ministers speaking alongside younger voices, demonstrating that in God’s kingdom, collaboration, not competition, drives unity.

Speakers included Victor Price and Leanda Henry from St. Lucia; Eustace McDonald (Guyana), Mark Lawrence and Calvin Walsh (Jamaica), John Yarde Sr. and Nicole Hoyte (Barbados), Fabienne Pierre Louis and District Superintendent David Montredon (French Antilles), as well as Victor George and Keryl Boyce (Trinidad). Their messages during the Bible Hour and Chapel sessions were Holy Spirit led.

Beyond preaching, participants joined workshops on practical and relevant topics:

  • Barbara and Anthony Manswell: Purity and Marriage
  • Ayana Chester: Bible Quizzing
  • Victor Price: Social and Emotional Management
  • Nicole Hoyte: Financial Management
  • Paul Bunsee: The Call (Caribbean Nazarene College)
  • Janary Suyat: Missions and NYI Ministry
  • Erika & David Campos: NCM and Missions Mobilization

These sessions ensured that spiritual formation was strengthened with life skills and ministry awareness.

One of the most memorable moments was Gala Night, where five Nazarene Youth International (NYI) servants were recognized through the Timothy Award for their investment in youth since the 1970s. One of them also received the Caribbean Field Gem Award for contributions to education and social enterprise. The evening, led by Global Nazarene Youth International Director David Gonzales.

The camp blended worship with celebration, Bible Quizzing competitions, and fun activities.

Apart from the activities, what stood out most was the work of God in the lives of young people. From the opening service to the final altar call, many responded with a clear “yes” to God’s will and purpose.

A particularly impactful evening was the evangelism outreach. Participants went into the streets of St. Lucia to share testimonies, creative expressions, and hand out evangelism bracelets. For some, it was their first experience in public evangelism.

CARYCAC 2025 was more than just a camp—it was a movement of restoration and sending. The Caribbean youth left inspired, equipped, and committed to carrying the gospel into their communities and beyond.
