A seemingly random conversation between a pastor and a man walking by his window catalyzed the rapid growth of a small Missouri church, creating three flourishing congregations in under a year.

Over the course of 48 hours, the Appalachian mountain region of eastern Kentucky received 8-10½ inches of rain, which overwhelmed 20 waterways that span 60 miles, causing massive flooding and impacting more than 100,000 people in multiple counties.

Burlington First Church of the Nazarene has been selling sweet corn for missions for the last 25 years. They’ve raised more than $200,000 for missions since it began.

Timothy Carter was elected superintendent of the Iowa District on 14 July 2022. He has pastored Cedar Rapids First Church of the Nazarene since 1997 and served as district secretary since July 2013.

Judy D. Burnell, 70, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away 30 June 2022. She pastored Seaford Church of the Nazarene since 2017.

Brad Kochis was elected superintendent of the North Carolina District on 24 June 2022. Kochis has 21 years of pastoral experience and currently serves as the executive director of Alumni Relations and Advancement at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

A Missouri church has undertaken a VBS project that brought together multiple generations for an immersive experience in biblical Jerusalem.
