Thousands of youth are preparing to attend Nazarene Youth Conference 2023 in Tampa, Florida, USA, held 5-9 July.

Two new district superintendents were recently elected on the USA/Canada Region. Andy Monnin was elected superintendent of the Northwestern Ohio District on 23 June 2023, and Mark Lehman was elected superintendent of the Los Angeles District on 26 June.

On 15 June 2023, Primera Iglesia Mexicana Del Nazareno, the first Hispanic Church of the Nazarene in the United States, was designated as a historical landmark of the Church of the Nazarene after the adoption of Special Resolution 753 at the 30th General Assembly.

David Warren, 68, of New Castle, Indiana, passed away 18 June 2023. He has been the pastor of Richmond Church of the Nazarene in Richmond, Indiana, since 2019.

George Miller, 72, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed away 28 May 2023. He was a retired missionary who served for 27 years in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the Philippines. Miller was the pastor of Carnegie Church of the Nazarene at the time of his death.

Pastor Chad Fryar of Crossroad Cowboy Church in Bismarck, Arkansas, was involved in a car on 25 May that tragically took the lives of his two daughters, Marlee Jo and Dana Kate. Chad and his son, Bo Henry, were hospitalized and later discharged.

John Mann Nielson passed away 28 April 2023 at the age of 79. He served as a pastor, missionary, educator, and administrator, including as president of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary and director of Ministerial Development for the Church of the Nazarene’s International Headquarters.
