Teryl “Terry” Ketchum, 72, of Lacey, Washington, passed away 19 July 2024. He was a retired missionary who served in France, Martinique, and Haiti. He served as a minister in Idaho, Washington, and Kansas.

Allen Wilson, 94, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away 1 August 2024. He was a missionary who served for 37 years across the Mesoamerica and South America regions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, and as the district superintendent of Costa Rica.

Young girls around the world are receiving dresses and the message that God loves them, thanks to Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene’s “Dress a Girl” sewing group. What started in 2012 as a small group of women has grown to 100 people.
More than 15 students and leaders from Point Loma Nazarene University embarked on a missions trip to the Philippines in May, partnering with local church leaders and Nazarenes.

Hortence Balibanga, 54, of Yaounde, Cameroon, passed away 16 July 2024. She was a missionary, serving the Church of the Nazarene in Cameroon since 2018. Hortence was a prayer warrior. Her heart was to reach orphans, and she had a passion for women’s ministry.

A team of five Northwest Nazarene University engineering students and their professors joined two Filipino engineers in building an off-grid public toilet with a hand washing station at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary.

A group of students from Point Loma Nazarene University in California, USA, were led on an evangelistic day for the boys and girls of the Shuar community in Pimpints near Taisha, Ecuador.

Over 150 students, leaders, and translators from 42 different countries joined for the 2024 Discover Missions event, held 7-19 June in Nairobi, Kenya. Discover Missions is an immersive experience designed for young adults to discern God’s call to the missions field on their life.

Eleven Point Loma Nazarene University students arrived in Brazil to learn about the work of the Church of the Nazarene in the Amazon rainforest. For 12 days, the young people were on board the Jesus the Hope II boat, visiting the people of the Amazon.

Since 2022, the Asia-Pacific region Nazarene Missions International has continuously connected Nazarene missionaries to local churches and districts. The Asia-Pacific Region gathered on 28 April 2024 for the third year of the Love for Missions celebration.
