Stephen Rhoades appointed superintendent of Georgia District

Stephen D. Rhoades was appointed superintendent of the Georgia District on 2 January 2025. Rhoades currently pastors Fort Meyers First Church of the Nazarene in Florida. 

The appointment was made by General Superintendent T. Scott Daniels in consultation with the Georgia District Advisory Council and the Board of General Superintendents.

Rhoades will replace Kyle Poole, who was appointed superintendent of the Kansas City District in October. Rhoades' appointment is effective 1 February 2025. 

Rhoades received a bachelor’s degree in ministry from Trevecca Nazarene College (now University) in 1989. He served as pastor of Franklin First Church of the Nazarene (1991-1994) in Kentucky, Greenwood Church of the Nazarene (1999-2002), and The Point Church of the Nazarene (2002-2016), both in Indiana, and Coastal Community Church of the Nazarene (2016-2019) in Florida.

Rhoades became pastor of Fort Meyers First Church of the Nazarene in 2019. 

Stephen and his wife, Regina, currently live in Fort Meyers, Florida. They have one adult daughter.
