Is God calling you and your spouse to serve as a pastor/chaplain and as an English teacher in Thailand?
The School of Promise exists as an education institution but also functions as a church-planting center for the Church of the Nazarene serving Northern Thailand and beyond. Currently, the School of Promise plans to open four new schools by 2025, which in turn opens up church planting opportunities.
It is critical to train national teachers and students as disciples of Jesus. They are preparing to be sent out in small teams to start each of the new schools. The target cities for new campuses are Lamphun, Surin Province, Sanpathong District, and Lampang City, one of the three largest cities in Northern Thailand.
School of Promise also envisions two additional strategies in reaching unreached areas in Thailand. One is to provide curriculum and operational skills for small-scale community learning centers sponsored by local churches in the Northern province. The second is to train teachers and students as disciples so then they can multiply missional churches partnering with the new Teacher's College program of Chapman International College.
These two roles will support both the spiritual and the educational goals of the School of Promise by emphasizing church multiplication through education.

Responsibilities (Pastor/chaplain):
- Serve as lead pastor of the Promise Church on the Hangdong campus
- Provide oversight of evangelism, worship, and Bible study programs
- Train teachers/students as disciples
- Be involved in developing local pastors/chaplains who can lead the four new campuses in 2025
- Assist those leading the operation of the school
Responsibilities (English teacher):
- Supervise volunteer teachers in the English department
- Develop short- and long-term Nazarene volunteers for the School of Promise
- Assist those leading the operation of the school

- A passion for evangelism and discipleship
- Fluent Thai language skills
Pastor: Ordination and a Master of Divinity are required.
