Position Overview

The Mission Intern will engage in ongoing ministry and community life in the Philippines, serving in a cross-cultural setting while growing through consistent, hands-on involvement.

This internship is designed for young adults who desire to deepen their understanding of mission through real-life experience, active participation, and intentional reflection. Rather than a classroom-based program, this is a relational and service-oriented journey, where growth happens through presence, responsibility, and engagement.

Purpose of the Internship

• To develop a deeper understanding of mission in everyday life and community
• To cultivate character, adaptability, and cultural awareness
• To provide meaningful opportunities for service within ministry and church contexts
• To help interns grow in clarity, responsibility, and personal direction

Key Responsibilities

Ministry & Community Involvement

• Participate actively in local ministry initiatives and outreach
• Engage in community life through presence, relationship-building, and service
• Support church activities and gatherings as needed

Relational Engagement

• Build respectful and consistent relationships within the local community
• Learn to listen, observe, and serve across cultures

Team Participation

• Work alongside local leaders and teams
• Contribute to a healthy, cooperative, and respectful team environment

Personal Growth & Reflection

• Engage in regular personal reflection on experiences and learning
• Remain open to feedback, guidance, and growth in character and attitude

Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Able to communicate in English
• Willingness to serve in a cross-cultural and community-based environment
• Teachable, flexible, and emotionally mature
• A posture of humility and readiness to learn through experience
• Willing to engage both in ministry and everyday community life
