The Board of General Superintendents has consistently called the Church of the Nazarene to show compassion for immigrants and refugees. At its February 2025 meeting, the Board of General Superintendents reaffirmed the 2015 BGS statement on immigration.

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 3-7 February 2025.

During a Sunday morning worship service in 2021, Komal Waghmare sensed God placing a sudden, clear burden on her heart. She knew then that he wanted her to advocate for children through the Church of the Nazarene.

Roberto Hodgson, 64, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 3 February 2025 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He served as a minister and district superintendent before becoming director of Multicultural Ministries for the USA/Canada Region Church of the Nazarene.

Naw Pa Saw Wah was recently appointed superintendent of the newly formed Myanmar Southeast District. She is the first local woman to serve in this role in Myanmar and on the Southeast Asia Field, a remarkable achievement in the field’s leadership.

Three children from New Beginning Church of the Nazarene had a bold idea to share the joy of Jesus and bless the less fortunate children in their community. After gaining support from church leaders, 70 children and young people, ages 3 to 25, created a Children’s Christmas camp to reach out to

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

From 16-18 January, more than 250 leaders of Nazarene Missions International, pastors, and district superintendents from along Mexico’s southern border gathered in Tapachula, Chiapas, to strengthen their training in missions.
