The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 31 August – 4 September 2026.
Clayton Bonar, 91, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away 26 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Idaho, Washington, and California. He is survived by his wife, Helen Bonar.
Janet Braatz, 83, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away 2 September 2026. She was a retired minister who served in Michigan. She is survived by her husband, Charles Braatz.
E. Donald King Jr., 89, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, passed away 25 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Ohio, California, and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley King, who passed away in 2021.
JoAnn Morse, 92, of Big Flats, New York, passed away 26 August 2026. She was the widow of Vernon Morse a retired minister who served in New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Vernon passed away in 2018.
Ronald Whyde, 97, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, passed away 27 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Whyde, who passed away in 2020.
