The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 10-14 August 2026.
Frances Freeburg, 92, of Willmar, Minnesota, passed away 6 August 2026. She was the widow of Brandt Freeburg a minister who served in Iowa and Minnesota. Brandt passed away in 2008.
Susan Frey, 78, of Clio, Michigan, passed away 9 August 2026. She was the wife of Donald Frey, a minister who served in Ohio and Michigan.
Gerald Harris, 70, of Ilion, New York, passed way 30 July 2026. He was a retired minister who served in New York and Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, Janice Harris.
Jerry Powers, 82, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away 7 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in California and Washington. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Powers.
Gerald Parker, 93, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away 6 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Doretta Parker.
Robert Sanchez, , of Brownsville, Texas, passed away 31 July 2026.
William Seal, 94, of Newberg, Oregon, passed away 3 August 2026. He was a retired minister who served in Oregon and Colorado. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Seal, who passed away in 2020.
Donna Stanton, 89, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away 31 July 2026. She was the wife of Ted Stanton, a retired minister who served in Tennessee and Florida.
Paul Stroud, 88, of Minco, Oklahoma, passed away 23 July 2026. He was a retired missionary who served in Cape Verde and Ghana. He served as a minister in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Stroud, who passed away in 2018.
Doris Wells, 94, of Arlington, Texas, passed away 2 August 2026. She was the widow of Linard Wells, a minister who served in Oklahoma, Indiana, Texas, and Mississippi. Linard passed away in 2007.
