Over 170 children and parents attended a significant community day on Saturday, 13 June 2026, at the Church of Nazareno Monte Sinai, in Quito, Ecuador. Their purpose was to serve the surrounding sectors and share the love of Christ in a practical way. The activity reflected the church’s joy, communion, and the commitment to its community.

Church members and leaders led the event, and prepared a special space to receive families. The attendees enjoyed games, contests, prizes and a clown show, filling the afternoon with smiles and enthusiasm.

The leaders of the Nazarene Youth International served the children with refreshments, including popcorn, nachos, ice cream, and a drink. Every detail was prepared with dedication, ensuring that the participants had a meaningful, joyful, and unforgettable experience.

One significant moment of the day was the screening of the movie David, through which many children heard for the first time the message of a God who loves them, knows them, and has a purpose for their lives. It was also an opportunity to sow hope, faith, and the importance of the gospel message to the families.

Mónica Quelal, a member of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, said that this initiative was born with the desire to get acquainted with the children and families of the community, establishing connections and demonstrating that the church is committed to serving people holistically .

The day ended with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to share the love of Christ with the community. The smiles, the words of hope, and shared time became tangible expressions of the gospel in action.
