As God continues to move among the next generations, two newly established districts of the Church of the Nazarene in the Philippines — the Quezon-Marinduque and Mindoro districts— marked historic milestones through their first-ever Nazarene Youth International (NYI) camps. The camps brought together young people to encounter Christ, strengthen their faith, and answer his call to ministry.
The Quezon-Marinduque District held its inaugural youth camp themed “Reignite,” from 19-21 May 2026, at Spring Life Con in General Luna, Quezon. Days later, the NYI of Mindoro District conducted its first district youth camp themed “Ignite,” on 26-29 May 2026.
Though held in different locations and focused on separate themes, both camps shared a common purpose: to inspire a generation of young believers to live passionately for Christ and embrace their God-given calling.
Reignite camp for the Quezon-Marinduque District drew inspiration from 2 Timothy 1:6. Through heartfelt worship, powerful preaching, prayer encounters, and meaningful fellowship, participants experienced spiritual renewal and deeper commitment to Christ. The gathering culminated in the baptism of 11 young believers who publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile, the Mindoro District’s Ignite camp gathered 62 youth participants from five local churches, many of whom met fellow Nazarene youth from other congregations for the first time. The four-day event featured worship services, team-building activities, discipleship opportunities, and fellowship sessions, strengthening relationships and fostering unity among the churches.
A unique feature of the camp was the shared preaching ministry of district pastors, allowing multiple leaders to invest directly in the spiritual growth of the youth. The camp also witnessed the baptism of 17 young people who publicly professed their faith in Christ.
Together, the two camps celebrated the baptism of 28 young believers, a powerful testimony of God’s continuing work among the youth of Southern Tagalog. Beyond the numbers, both gatherings became sacred spaces where lives were transformed, burdens were surrendered, faith was strengthened, and hearts were set ablaze for God’s mission.
