More than 250 leaders, pastors, and laypeople participated in EXPONAZ: Dimensional Evangelism. The gathering was designed to equip, inspire, and unite the Church of the Nazarene in Mexico by strengthening evangelism and discipleship ministries.

From April 30 to May 2, 2026, Bible Church of the Nazarene in Guadalajara, Mexico, hosted leaders, pastors, and laypeople from various districts across the country. The event was coordinated by the Mexico Field Evangelism team together with Samuel Malpica.

During the three-day event, approximately 30 ministries and partner organizations participated through exhibit spaces where they shared materials, strategies, and ministry resources. Participating Nazarene ministries included Missions Mobilization, Nazarene Missions Teams, Nazarene Youth International (NYI), Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM), and SENAMEX, along with partner organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, One Hope, DCPI, and GO Movement.

In addition to ministry exhibits, attendees participated in preaching sessions, conferences, and teaching focused on evangelism, discipleship, and missions. These plenary sessions encouraged and inspired participants to return to their communities with a renewed vision for fulfilling the Great Commission.

The event featured global and regional leaders such as Global Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) Director Samuel Barber; Mesoamerica Region Director Jimmy De Gouveia; and leaders from the Mexico Area and North Area, including Carlos Cordero, Jorge Córdova, and Carlos Sáenz. Jorge Córdova provided strategic support and guidance for the development of EXPONAZ 2026. District superintendents and ministry representatives from across the country were also in attendance.

One significant moment at the gathering was the message Jimmy De Gouveia. He shared a situational analysis of the Church of the Nazarene in Mexico and challenged attendees to respond to the vision God is developing for the region. During his presentation he stated:

“I see a living Church, driven by a multigenerational movement of Christlike disciples who multiply and plant churches with evangelistic passion and compassion in every community.”

Among the attendees was Isaac Esteban Romero Meza from Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, who shared how EXPONAZ impacted his life and ministry:

“It helped me find a clearer direction and see evangelism from another perspective,” Meza said. “Seeing so many people passionate about evangelism, people who, like me, feel this calling, made me feel accompanied.”

Meza described EXPONAZ as “a confirmation and consolidation” of his ministry calling.

Also present was Gilberto García Vergara, head of religious affairs for the General Secretariat of Government of the State of Jalisco, demonstrating governmental support for the event and a willingness to collaborate with local churches.

Organizers indicated that they hope to bring the EXPONAZ model to districts throughout Mexico, with the goal of reaching not only pastors and leaders but as many church members as possible, strengthening evangelistic commitment across the country.
