The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received from 13-17 October 2025.
Jerry Bridewell, 75, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away on 3 October 2025. He was the husband of Patricia Bridewell, a minister who serves at Avon Park First Church of the Nazarene in Florida.
R. Deane Grant, 93, of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, passed away on 4 October 2025. She was the widow of Bertram Grant, a retired minister who served in West Virginia. Bertram passed away in 2022.
Ronald Harrison, 81, of Mount Juliet, passed away on 12 October 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ella Harrison.
Paul Holderfield Jr., 73, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away 8 October 2025. He was the pastor of North Little Rock Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, and director of Friendly Chapel Flame Compassionate Ministry Center. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hodlerfield.
In Gyeong Kim Lundell, 85, of Valley Center, California, passed away 27 September 2025. She was a minister who served as a pastor at River of Life Church of the Nazarene in California, serving as a minister in Louisiana, as well. She is survived by her husband, Peter Lundell.
Linda Myers, 76, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away on 10 October 2025. She was the widow of David Myers, a retired minister and evangelist who served in Ohio. David passed away in 2015.
Richard Parker, 86, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away 12 October 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Parker.
Wanda Rogers, 87, of Belton, Missouri, passed away 28 September 2025. She was a missionary who served in South Africa for over 20 years. She served alongside her husband, Kenneth Rogers, who also served as a minister in Texas and Kansas.
Peggy Slocum, 80, of Olympia, Washington, passed away 11 October 2025. She was the wife of Duane Slocum, a minister who served in California, Oregon, and Hawaii.
Daniel Thew, 80, of Orlando, Florida, passed away 12 October 2025. He was a retired minister and Chaplain who served in Kansas, Missouri, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and New York. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Thew, who passed away in 2021.
