The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 17-21 April 2023.

Bea Adams, 100, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away 17 April 2023. She was the widow of former Trevecca Nazarene University President Homer Adams. Homer was the president of Trevecca from 1979-1991. Homer passed away in 2021.

Gladys Deskins, 87, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away 16 April 2023. She was the wife of Grover Deskins, a retired minister who served in Maryland.

Walter Gilroy, 83, of Lander, Wyoming, passed away 11 April 2023. He was a retired minister who served in Nova Scotia and Alberta, Canada, Indiana, and Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Gilroy.

Ruby Snowbarger, 100, of Denver, Colorado, passed away 7 April 2023. She was the widow of Harvey Humble, a retired minister who served in Illinois, and Willis Snowbarger, a retired educator at Olivet Nazarene University. Willis also served as the Secretary of Education for the Church of the Nazarene from 1965-1970. Harvey passed away in 2000, and Willis passed away in 2008. 

G. Raymon Moore, 88, of Oneonta, Alabama, passed away 18 April 2023. He was a retired minister who served in Alabama and Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Midlred Moore, who passed away in 2000.

Will Ortega Sr, 79, of Somerton, Arizona, passed away 15 April 2023. He was a retired minister who served in Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Ortega, who passed away in 2020. 

Alma Schaap, 93, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away 18 April 2023. She was the wife of Louis Schaap, a retired minister who served in Texas and Minnesota.

Donald Smith, 93, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away 20 April 2023. He was a retired minister who served in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, California, and Florida.  

Bonnie Snyder, 88, of Ranchester, Wyoming, passed away 14 April 2023. She was the widow of George Snyder, a retired minister who served in California and Wyoming. George passed away in March of 2022.
