
In Memoriam: 28 March 2025

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 24-28 March 2025.
Diana Boomer, 77, of Concord, Georgia, passed away 12 March 2025. She was the wife of Eric Boomer, pastor of Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene in Georgia. Eric served previously in Ohio, and Georgia.
Cynthia Evans, 71, of Bowdoinham, Maine, passed away 10 March 2025. She was the wife of Dwaine Evans Sr, a retired minister who served in Maine.
Sue Kinzler, 85, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away 20 March 2025. She was the widow of Clarence Kinzler, a retired district superintendent who led the Northern California district from 1984-2001, and served as interim district superintendent for the Northwest Oklahoma District. As a minister, he served in Kansas, California, and Idaho. Clarence passed away in 2023.
Donald Lain, 64, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away 24 March 2025. He was the pastor of Westlake Parkside Church of the Nazarene. He served as a minister in Kansas, New York, and Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lain.
Stephen Manley, 83, of Watertown, Tennessee, passed away 4 March 2025. He was the pastor of Cross Style Church of the Nazarene in Lebanon, Tennessee. He was a retired evangelist who served in Indiana, North Carolina, Michigan, and Tennessee.
Walter Meadows, 81, of Ripley, Tennessee, passed away 12 March 2025. He was a retired minister who served in Tennessee and Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire Meadows, who passed away in 2022.
Debra Oursler, 62, of Springdale, Ohio, passed away 24 March 2025. She was the spouse of David Oursler, who pastors Cincinnati Lockland Church of the Nazarene in Ohio.
Ila Phillips, 110, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away 23 March 2025. She was the widow of Wilbur Phillips, a retired minister who served in Ohio. Wilbur passed away in 2002.
Shirley Riley, 89, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 23 March 2025. She was the wife of Phillip Riley a retired district superintendent, who led the Prairie Lakes District from 1973-1981. Phil served as a minister in Kansas, Missouri, and Georgia.
Daisy Simms, 88, of Winterhaven, California, passed away 1 March 2025. She was the widow of Benjamin Simms, a retired minister who served in Arizona. Benjamin passed away in 2012.
