On Wednesday, 25 March 2020 Rev. Mária Gusztinné Tulipán has been elected as the 12th rector of European Nazarene College.  Prior to her election, she  served as pastor of the Budapest Church of the Nazarene in Hungary. She and her husband Imre were instrumental in starting the work of the Church of the Nazarene in Hungary after their graduation from European Nazarene Bible College in 1996. Rev. Gusztinné brings to her new role a rich experience in education, having been involved in various roles, especially as teacher, administrator of the EuNC learning centre in Hungary, and serving on the EuNC Curriculum Committee as cluster chair in the area of ministerial skills. She is a graduate of European Nazarene Bible College (BA in Theology and Mission) and the London School of Theology (MA in Theological Education) and speaks three languages (Hungarian, English, and Russian). Her husband, Imre Gusztin serves as district superintendent in Hungary and they have one son, Rudolf, an ordained deacon and professional musician.

Rev. Gusztinné follows Dr. Klaus Arnold who had served as rector for 15 years before he was elected Global Education and Clergy Development Director of the Church of the Nazarene.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
