On Monday, 13 January 2025, 80 new believers were baptized in the Nile River in South Sudan, the same Nile River where the baby Moses was drawn up out of the water and saved for a greater purpose. These new believers are from the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Juba South, South Sudan.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 23 December 2024 - 10 January 2025.

From 16-23 December 2024, a youth team from Aletheia Church of the Nazarene in Papua, Indonesia, carried out a missions trip in Sorong City in collaboration with the El-Shadai Church of the Nazarene in Sorong City.

The House of Mercy ministries, located in a small village outside Odesa, Ukraine, as become a beacon of light for over 40 individuals internally displaced due to the war or needing rehabilitation services.

Stephen D. Rhoades was appointed superintendent of the Georgia District on 2 January 2025. Rhoades currently pastors Fort Meyers First Church of the Nazarene in Florida.

Jason A. Caddy was appointed superintendent of the North Carolina District on 2 January 2025. Caddy currently pastors Columbia Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, Tennessee.

The Church of the Nazarene welcomed a number of new leaders at the global and regional levels in 2024. Five new leaders were elected to lead: Global Missions, Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI), Nazarene Missions International (NMI), the Eurasia Region, and the Asia-Pacific Region.
