Hortence Balibanga, 54, of Yaounde, Cameroon, passed away 16 July 2024. She was a missionary, serving the Church of the Nazarene in Cameroon since 2018. Hortence was a prayer warrior. Her heart was to reach orphans, and she had a passion for women’s ministry.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Thanks to local leaders’ passion for church planting, the Ambovombe Zone in southern Madagascar has added more than 20 new Churches of the Nazarene in the last three years. Three days of training equipped these leaders for continued evangelism and discipleship in their communities.
