The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 6-9 April 2020.

Clyde Barnhart, 77, of Warrenville, Illinois, passed away 4 April 2020. He was a retired minister, serving in Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Carol Barnhart.

Negassi Desta, 72, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away 11 March 2020. He was a minister, serving at Phoenix Monte Vista Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Weini Hagos Ghebreyesus. 

James Hamilton, 94, of Cedaredge, Colorado, passed away 4 April 2020. He was a retired educator, evangelist, and minister, serving in Florida, Colorado, California, and Kansas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Hamilton, in 1999, and his second wife, Nan Hamilton, in 2010.

Robert Jones, 82, of Murfreesboro Tennessee, passed away 6 April 2020. He was a retired minister, serving in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Jones.

Lorne MacMillan, 93, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away 5 April 2020. He was a retired district superintendent, leading the Canada Central District from 1978 to 1992. He served as a minister in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce MacMillan, who passed away in 2018.

Ora Pults, 92, of Olympia, Washington, passed away 22 March 2020. She was the widow of James Pults, a retired minister who served in Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington. James passed away in 2010.

Tiffany Sarcos, 38, of West Covina, California, passed away 17 March 2020. She was the pastor of Cross Culture Community Church of the Nazarene in Pomona, California.

Eugene L. Stowe, 97, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away 6 April 2020. He was a retired general superintendent, district superintendent, educator, and pastor, serving in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Stowe, who passed away in 2017.

Vera Sprunk, 94, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away 2 April 2020. She was the wife of retired minister Ralph Sprunk, who served in Iowa.

Janis Sutterfield, 81, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away 15 March 2020. She was the wife of retired minister M. Leon Sutterfield, who served in Oklahoma.

Mildred Thaxton, 100, of Jena, Louisiana, passed away 29 March 2020. She was the widow of Bernice Thaxton, a retired minister who served in Louisiana. Bernice passed away in 1988.
