Alabaster funds help Scotland church continue serving its community
Located in the heart of Perth, Scotland, Trinity Church of the Nazarene is bringing its City Hub Vision to life with a project to transform its aging building into a flexible, functional, and welcoming space that meets the needs of its growing congregation and broader community.
With over 250 people attending Sunday worship and more than 500 engaging in weekly ministries, Trinity has become an essential presence in the city. The church actively responds to local needs, offering support to refugees, asylum seekers, those struggling with addiction, and individuals affected by the mental health crisis. However, the current building limits the church’s capacity to serve effectively. The City Hub Vision seeks to create adaptable spaces that are safe, hospitable, and accessible to all.
Thanks to Alabaster funding, critical renovations are now underway. The project includes updating heating and electrical systems, adding new toilet and shower facilities, and reconfiguring rooms to create versatile spaces for ministry and community use. In Scotland’s cold, wet climate, these improvements will provide warm, dry environments essential for the city’s most vulnerable.
Beyond local outreach, Trinity is becoming a hub for the Church in Scotland, hosting national events and fostering connections nationwide. The renovations will strengthen this role, enabling the church to serve better both its congregation and the broader church in Scotland.
This project is set for completion by Autumn 2025, reflecting Trinity’s commitment to hospitality and care. As the church expands its reach, the message remains clear: “You matter to us, and you matter to God.”
