Mr. Lyle Wensley, a soccer coach from Michigan, USA, has a heart for serving disadvantaged, at-risk children in Costa Rica. A vision was given to SENDAS leaders and Wensley to partner with "FUTIVAL," a Christian non-profit organization based in Costa Rica, specializing in teaching integrity and values to children through soccer.
In addition to having soccer classes and camps, the children will be given spiritual training via classes based in Scripture and emphasizing personal integrity and Christian values, through the local ministry of the Church of the Nazarene “Los Angeles” near the seminary campus. Improvements to the existing structures and field are needed, as well as the building of additional facilities, to make this partnership possible.
Once lights are installed, when not in use by the academy, outside groups will be able to rent the soccer field during evening hours. Those extra funds will contribute to the development of the mission of SENDAS to equip with excellence the greatest number of ministers possible to expand God’s kingdom. You can enable this partnership to reach children of Costa Rica and train new ministers and make an incredible impact.
