Chapman International College (CIC) held the installation ceremony for its sixth chancellor, Marcos G. Eugenio, on 8 November 2022. The service was held at the CIC Chiang Mai campus.

Eugenio was elected as CIC chancellor 1 April 2021, but COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns delayed the formal installation.

The installation ceremony was attended by CIC Board of Regents Chairman Ajarn Suvit, Golden Path Nazarene Foundation Chairman Siripawn Masakol, and Southeast Asia Field Strategy Coordinator Dong Hwan “Bill” Kwon. In addition, missionaries, students, faculty, CIC Chiang Mai campus staff, Northern Thailand District pastors, and District Superintendent Simon were all in attendance.

Leonila Domen, a member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Advisory Council, gave a congratulatory message, while Shin Min Gyoo gave the inaugural message.

Eugenio’s vision for CIC is to have more students in three campuses and additional centers by 2025. Currently, the institution serves five countries on the SEA Field with four campuses and 32 centers. CIC has 277 enrolled students.

“The calling before us is challenging, yet significant,” Eugenio said. “We must be bold in our aspirations because the Southeast Asia Field needs a training place like Chapman International College.

“The field needs a CIC that is committed to the articulation and embodiment of an exceptional vision for 21st century Nazarene higher education that produces graduates with the wisdom, innovation, and leadership skills required to make a Christlike difference in the world.”
