Jack Eugene Shankel, 90, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away on 6 August 2023. He was a retired district superintendent who led the Maine District (1971-1988) and the Northwestern Ohio District (1988-1998).

More than 1,600 women from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Mozambique gathered to experience fellowship with other Nazarene women, uplift each other, and experience renewal and empowerment.

The Jiwaka North District hosted a four-day laity retreat in the Jiwaka Province for all three districts. The retreat focused on inspiring and empowering the laypeople to take ownership in spreading the gospel in Papua New Guinea.

Peru NYI leadership summit inspires present, future of the church in Peru

In 2023, a significant milestone in the leadership of NYI Peru was established. The first National Leadership Summit occurred, "Flight 28:19," from 29 June to 1 July in Chiclayo. A Maximum Mission project and the district camps followed the summit.

South Carolina ministry helps rehab, raise new ministers

Four men entered Reconciliation Ministries’ recovery program with the goal of getting clean and sober. God spoke to them as they worked towards sobriety and permanent life change, and after graduation they went on to receive local minister’s licenses.

Over 20 Nazarene Youth International district presidents from Africa East gathered in Jinja, Uganda, for a four-day retreat to facilitate networking and relationship building among district presidents, as well as equip district presidents with the necessary knowledge and skills.
