The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 26-30 August 2024.
Douglas Barnett, 81, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away 26 August 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dalene, who passed away in 2013.
Danny Biddinger, 83, of Westcliffe, Colorado, passed away 18 August 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Biddinger.
Martha Biddinger, 83, of Westcliffe, Colorado, passed away 16 August 2024. She was the spouse of Danny Biddinger, a retired minister who served in Missouri.
Catherine Boulos, 75, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away 4 July 2024. She was a chaplain and minister who served in Missouri, California, and Texas.
Tony Hayes, 73, of Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away 22 August 2024. He was the pastor of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hayes.
Barbara Heckathorn, 76, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away 15 August 2024. She was the wife of James Heckathorn, a minister who serves in Florida. James served previously in Virginia, Texas, Missouri, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Florida.
Barbara Irwin, 91, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away 26 August 2024. She was the widow of James Irwin, a retired minister who served in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Maryland. James passed away in 2023.
B. Jean Mackey, 81, of Mansfield, Arkansas, passed away 27 August 2024. She was the widow of Troy Mackey, a retired minister who served in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Troy passed away in 2020.
Richard Roberson, 59, of El Paso, Texas, passed away 28 August 2024. He was a retired minister who served in New Mexico and Texas.
Carl Smith, 81, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, passed away 26 August 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Tennessee, West Virginia, and Florida.
