Tonya Tobe

Tonya Tobe, a native of Washington, D.C., answered the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in February 2015 at Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene. She received her first Local License from Pastor Reuben L. Taylor and the Community of Hope Church Family in April of that same year. While at Community of Hope, Tonya preached regularly and served as Worship Leader, Sunday School teacher, Leadership Board Member, and Director of Missions.

Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Tonya and her husband, Alvin, transferred their membership to Leonardtown Church of the Nazarene in March 2019 and received a Local License from Pastor Paul D. MacPherson in May 2019. She received her first District License from the Board of Ministry in April 2020 and is currently taking classes through the Williamson Bible Institute.

Tonya currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Community Outreach at Leonardtown and sings on the worship team.

Tonya has a passion for preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She desires to see the lives of God’s people transformed as they hear the truth of Scripture and surrender to the cleansing and empowering work of the Holy Spirit.

Tonya and her husband, Alvin, have been married since 1990 and have two beautiful daughters, Eboni and Alrissa."
