NTS-South America celebrates 30th anniversary
Seminario Teológico Nazareno Sudamericano (Nazarene Theological Seminary-South America) recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, and the festivities will last all year.
In honor of the occasion, the seminary will continually celebrate over the remainder of the year with a series of commemorative events throughout the Church of the Nazarene's South America Region, culminating with this year's graduation ceremony on 1 December.
The celebration started with a three-day tour 22-24 June where church members visited three different cities in Ecuador: Guayaquil, Riobamba, and Quito.
More than a thousand pastors, leaders, young adults, and laity participated in the festivities that featured worship music, dramas, and even choreographed performances.
Seminary President David Lemache and North Andean Field Strategy Coordinator David Gonzalez led the tour.
Lucas Leys, a noted speaker and author in the region, was the keynote speaker for the events. Leys emphasized the importance of generational leadership, the urgency for church revival, and the need for biblically trained leaders in South America.
As the seminary looks to the future, they continue to seek new and innovative ways to reach the next generation of potential students.
