New representatives, incumbents elected to the Nazarene Children's Leadership Network board
Four incumbents and two new representatives were elected recently to the Nazarene Children’s Leadership Network board.
The voting concluded June 17 with four incumbents receiving enough votes to retain their seats. These incumbents include:
Joy Gammill – Gammill currently serves as pastor to families with children at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene in Topeka, Kansas. Joy is an ordained elder, a member of the Kansas City District Children’s Leadership Team, and the Kansas City District Camp Board.
Margaret Tyler – Tyler currently serves as pastor of family life at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and is the Kansas City District children's pastor with the District Leadership Team. Margaret also has served as the NCLN vice-chairperson during the past two years.
Jenn Ballenger – Ballenger currently serves at Newark Church of the Nazarene in Newark, Ohio, as the pastor to children and their families.
Marcus LeBaron – LeBaron currently serves as Children’s Pastor at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, with his primary responsibility the pastoring of the first-sixth grade children and their families.
The following individuals were elected to the NCLN board as representatives for the next four years beginning July 1.
Trey Brooks – Brooks currently serves as the children’s pastor at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is a native of the South Arkansas District and holds a B.A. in theology and ministry from Southern Nazarene University and a master of divinity with a diploma in children’s ministry from Nazarene Theological Seminary.
Kent Entwistle – Entwistle currently serves at the Weaverville Church of the Nazarene in Weaverville, California, as the family life pastor. Entwistle oversees children’s ministries, youth ministries, and all aspects of ministry to young families.
These six leaders will join the current NCLN board members, each of whom will retain their seats through 2013, along with NCLN Chairman Andy Ervin.
The NCLN board expressed thanks and gratitude to Phil Hause, Andy Foster, and Jenni Monteblanco, who will end their service on the board on June 30.
Nazarene Children’s Leadership Network is making final preparations for Ignite 2011, a conference designed for children’s pastors and children’s workers. The theme for 2011 is Journey.
