The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 4-8 February 2019.
Nancy Bush, 80, of Athens, Texas, passed away 2 February. She is survived by her husband, retired minister Ronald Bush, who served in Texas.
Samuel Chesnut, 70, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away 26 January. He was the lead pastor at South Sooner Cowboy Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Jean Chesnut.
Joseph Freese, 96, of Chatsworth, California, passed away 30 January. He was a retired minister, serving in Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Colorado, and Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Freese, in 2005.
Julius Shafer, 86, of Georgetown, Ohio, passed away 5 February. He was a retired minister, serving in Ohio, Maryland, and Delaware. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Shafer.
Roy Sewell, 93, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away 4 February. He was a retired minister and evangelist, serving in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Sewell, in 2000.
