From 28 January until 2 February 2024, Kwongwan Church of the Nazarene and the Korea National District’s Missions Department organized a mission trip in Thailand. The partnership between the Kwongwan Church of the Nazarene and the Thai District began in 1997 when the Thai District visited the Kwongwan Church of the Nazarene, fostering a sense of mutual growth between them, which continues even today.

Nazarene Missions Teams assist local church members to grow personally through missions, serving as a means to connect Nazarenes worldwide. People can learn about the Church of the Nazarene identity through missions, and they grow together while actively engaging in missions work.

The Thai District warmly welcomed the team from Kwongwan and organized events for the team at five local churches, sharing the gospel through prepared performances. One highlight was their visit to a church, attempting to establish a preaching point and connect with neighbors.

The Korean team also hosted a one-day Korean festival in this area, which featured a Korean food class, traditional dance, and Taekwondo. Hundreds of people had the opportunity to hear the gospel through this team.

“Even though only 1 percent of the Thai population follow Christianity, we see the 99 percent of Thai people,” said Pastor Nam Kwanghyun from Kwongwan Church. “We pray that God uses the Thai District to reach out to those who do not know Jesus Christ.”
