Iowa District elects new superintendent Michael Kraemer

The Iowa District elected Michael Kraemer on 9 July 2021 as its new superintendent. Kraemer currently serves as lead pastor of Prairie Heights Community Church of the Nazarene in Bismarck, North Dakota. 

He will replace Kim Smith, who has led the district since 2013. Kraemer will begin his assignment 8 August 2021. 

Kraemer holds a bachelor’s in religion from Olivet Nazarene University and has pastored in multiple communities. He served at Jamestown First Church of the Nazarene in North Dakota (2001-2003), Carrington Community Church of the Nazarene in North Dakota (2003-2005), Mitchell Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene in South Dakota (2005-2006), Oakes Church of the Nazarene in North Dakota (2006-2013), Salem Grace Church of the Nazarene in Illinois (2013-2015), and Bismarck Prairie Heights since 2015.

Michael and his wife, Latifah, currently reside in Bismarck, North Dakota, with their two children.
