Enrique Solano Castro has been appointed by General Superintendent Gustavo Crocker as superintendent of the Alto-Marañon District in Peru. He replaces Herbert Barco Paima, who was elected to be the rector at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Peru.

The appointment process was done in coordination with the District Advisory Board, Peru Field Strategy Coordinator Evelio Vásquez, and General Superintendent Gustavo Crocker.

"I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him," Castro said at his installation ceremony. "I want to make a statement of faith for our district: this will be a year of unity and healing for our district."

The installation ceremony was held 31 January. The Alto Marañón District includes the Churches of the Nazarene in the provinces of Jaén and San Ignacio north of Cajamarca-Peru.
