For the last 100 years, the Church of the Nazarene in Mozambique has been alive, on the move, and experiencing many victories. The church is now set to centrally and communally celebrate its centennial 28-29 October 2022.

Trevecca Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary are partnering to offer Trevecca master’s students the opportunity to move into the Doctor of Ministry degree at the seminary through an accelerated pathway.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

To celebrate International Day of the Elderly, the Church of the Nazarene in Ribeira Brava, São Nicolau Island, Cape Verde, honored the elderly of that community in partnership with the city council on 1 October 2022.

Nearly 50 Nazarene pastors were ordained in early September in both Zimbabwe and Malawi. 26 were ordained in Zimbabwe, and 22 in Malawi.

In Kenya, the New Scent Centre helps restore dignity to children who have been victims of sexual and gender based violence.

Graduation ceremonies took place around the Africa Region. In a joyful show of pomp and circumstance, these educational institutions were able to have their first in-person graduation ceremonies in two years.

The Ethiopia National Church of the Nazarene partnered with the Creative Leadership Institute of Ethiopia for a seminar held in May that was attended by 75 representatives at the district level from around the country.

During Holy Week on the Lake Victoria District of Kenya, churches celebrated many events, including baptisms, the reception of new members, the organization of churches, and the dedication of church buildings.
