The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 23-27 August 2021.

Margaret Annon, 79, of Jamestown, North Dakota, passed away 13 August 2021. She was the wife of Robert Annon, a retired minister who served in Colorado, Illinois, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

John Becknell, 91, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away 15 August 2021. He was a retired minister who served in California. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Becknell.

Janet DeLong, 82, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away 20 August 2021. She was the widow of Dennis DeLong, a retired minister who served in Indiana and North Carolina. Dennis passed away in August of 2020. 

Virginia Friend, 92, of Dallas, Texas, passed away 25 August 2021. She was the wife of John Friend, a retired minister who served in Iowa, Indiana, Georgia, Indianapolis, Maryland, Texas, and Louisiana. 

David Sorensen, 60, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away 21 August 2021. He was a minister serving at The Well Church of the Nazarene, with previous service in Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Sorensen.

Jeffery Sparks, 73, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away 25 August 2021. He was a retired minister who served in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania

Edna Tripp, 89, of Morriston, Florida, passed away 16 August 2021. She is the widow of Howard Tripp, a retired minister who served in Tennessee, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Kentucky. Howard passed away in 1997.

Geneva Walker, 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away 17 August 2021. She is the widow of Earl Walker, a  minister who served in Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio. Earl passed away in 2002.

Alfred Wood, 82, of Gurley, Alabama, passed away 25 August 2021. He was a retired minister who served in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Wood.
