Costa Rica youth minister to community through Maximum Mission event
More than 30 young people on the Costa Rica North District met together recently for a Maximum Mission event August 20 in Irigaray.
The group did community work, house evangelism, and organized activities for the children. The group also delivered food baskets to families in need, who were grateful to God and the Church of the Nazarene for their generosity.
The event ended with a worship service attended by more than 50 people. The sanctuary is small, so people participated while still outside.
"It was a very blessed time because there were people who reconciled with the Lord," said Estefania Amador, district Global Mission coordinator.
Volunteers came from seven churches: Poas, Upala, Barrio San Jose, Irigaray, Quebrada Grande, Liberia, and Cañas Dulces.
"It was wonderful to see the willingness and desire of people from Irigaray to learn more about God’s Word," Amador said. "One of the families we visited shared with us the need they were going through and the great blessing of receiving a food basket ... testimonies like this are our inspiration to continue serving the Lord."
