Rev. Jim Ritchie is the Global Missions director for the Church of the Nazarene. He was elected at the 100th session of the General Board and took office on April 1, 2024.
Prior to his election as Global Missions director, Jim served as the Eurasia regional director (October 2020 - June 2024), District Superintendent of the British Isles North District (December 2016 - September 2020) and Senior Pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Perth, Scotland (February 2012 - September 2020).
Jim studied Theology at New College Faculty of Divinity, Edinburgh University and Glasgow Bible Training Institute and holds a Bachelor of Divinity (Hons), a Master of Theology and a Diploma in Theology.
In 2013, Jim’s ordination in the Church of Scotland was recognized by the Nazarene Church at the District Assembly of the British Isles North district, when he became an ordained elder of the Church of the Nazarene.
Jim and his wife Maggie met on Mission in 1982 and were married in 1983. They have five children and three grandchildren.
The Ritchies have a great love for the global Nazarene family and a real vision to see a missionary movement of God’s people reaching many with Jesus’ love, grace, compassion and Kingdom message of salvation.
