In Memoriam: November 25, 2016

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received November 21-25, 2016.

Thelma Bartz, 86, of Helena, Montana, passed away November 20. She was the widow of retired minister N. James Bartz, who served in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. N. James Bartz passed away in 1993. 

Betty (Patton) Hamby, 87, of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away November 20. She was a retired minister, serving in Kentucky and West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired minister John Hamby, who served in Kentucky and West Virginia. John Hamby passed away in 1998.

Carol Newberry, 73, of Beggs, Oklahoma, passed away November 21. She was the wife of retired minister Lummy Newberry, who served in Oklahoma. 

Fern Penn, 97, of Salem, Oregon, passed away November 18. She was the wife of retired minister Daniel Penn, who served in California and Oregon. 

Graeme Sheppard, 63, of Toowoomba, Australia, passed away November 22. He was a longtime lay leader who served on numerous boards at the local, field, national, and denominational levels. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Sheppard. (story)
